I guess it would depend on the video card. On my ATI 9800 pro I use a TV as my 2nd monitor. In the display properties box i have to option of shutting of or turning on display #2.
on my old matrox card (g400), i had to put in dualhead mode so it could output 2 resolutions seperately on both screens. It worked pretty good.
never had to reboot to turn the 2nd display on and off though.
try going the website of the your cards manufacturer or type the problem into google. -
THANKS
i do have only ati 7000VE basic card
i do not think i will be able to have 2 displays with 2 resolutions
so i do need grafic card for $200 to do it?
so how about another PCI card with TV out?
would it worked? -
i do have TV out on my card but always have to reset computer so system will see it
