  1. Not sure where I can ask this question but I have the Epson Photo Stylus R300 and all the images I print are way too red. Where an image should be white it is a darkened pink. I just installed this printer for the first time last night. I have aligned and cleaned the nozzles many times.

I have tried unchecking and checking photoenhance, matched my paper types (using premium glossy photo paper). Been checking and unchecking a bunch of settings but nothings seems to help. I'm thinking of going into color correction area and turning down magenta, but feel bad about trying this. Feels like I'm not getting to the root of the problem...

One thing to note is that when aligning the heads, the first attempt all the images had noticable vertical lines through them so I had to select "1" then re-aligned, then the second time it was not better so I had to select "1" again then re-align, finally on the 3rd attempt I could choose a square that didn't have vertical lines through it "4". Wonder if this printer is so out of alignment it can't get a reasonable settings or does this not matter that it took me 3 iterations to align...

Any advice would be hugely appreciated... Thanks...

Ur not goin to like this but if u have done all that u said...then the printer has some mech probm. I would just take it back and get another one.

Also it maybe a probm with one of th ink carts...u can always try another set. This maybe a dumb But is the the carts installed in the right order.

ahh not dumb at all this is exactly what I first thought so I triple check it and no unfortunately they are in the right order Would have made sense though, then maybe the wrong colors were trying to create white.

Dam this is a replacement printer, I sent back my first one (paper feed issue) and this is the replacement Epson sent me...
