I'm trying to use ffmpegX to convert files to .3gp format for playback on my phone. I have a Sony Ericsson K700i, which has 41 MB free memory and which can play .3gp 176x144 video.

However, whenever I try to convert something (even using the built-in .3gp settings), I get a file 0 bytes long. I thought I installed the companion files correctly for ffmepgX, although I'm not sure. The program is not what I'd call user friendly, but it's it's free so I can't complain too much.

QuickTime Pro works just fine, but I really want to play with ffmpegX more. Actually, my older version of it did work for conversion to other formats when I tried it a few months ago, but I've installed 0.9 now.

Hmmm... Not free. $15. Oh well, it's still cheaper than QT Pro I guess.

I'll do that when I get home. Thanks.

  5. There is a small problem in 3gp encoding in version 0.0.9n. I will fix it quickly.

    Hey thx.

BTW, it says it's an unsupported codec:

Unsupported codec (id=0) for input stream #0.1

The two files I tried are H.263 and Sorenson video 3 QuickTime .mov files. Are they not supported?
