  1. For dvd's that have multi-angle, what's the purpose?

Does it take up more space than just one angle?

If you have read my other post where I was trying to back up Star Wars episode 1, someone suggested just leaving the angles. Any harm in leaving the angles? I was just always told to remove them for space?

    Hello,
In most movies it seems that angles have no function. There are some exceptions. In Star Wars Episode 1 disc 2 for example, they have a montage of the bongo sequence. You can press angle to get the different test shots. One will be the effects guys doing a dry run. The other is the finished video. I forget what the last one was.

I recently got the Phil Collins Serious Hits Live DVD (the one from the 1990 Berlin concert). It has three angles. The first angle is the original concert - all cameras flipping from one to another. The two other angles rotate between two cameras - one will fix on the drummer for example - and the other on the backup singers.

I imagine for feature length movies the main angle is all that is ever needed. Check out the function for documentaries and concerts. There may be something worth keeping.
