  1. Hello. I had the misfortune of buying a crappy 50 pack of Phillips DVD+R from someone on eBay. I have had nothing but trouble trying to burn DVDs. Everything randing from DVDs freezing or being pixelated to discs not playing at all on my computer or standalone player. I am looking for media recommendations. My drive only burns at 2.4x and is a Phillips (that's why I tried the Phillips media in the first place). Please help me! I am so sick of making coasters!

  2. no need to buy 2x media for your 2x burner. the 4x will burn at 1,2, or 4. same with 8x media.

  3. OK. Well, I've seen quite a few recommendations for Ritek and some for TY. How do I know which Ritek discs are the "good" ones. A lot of the sites don't list those media codes. I read on rima.com that the TY 4x discs sometiomes won't burn on slower drives.

  4. really depends on your burner. look at the media's compatibility chart for it in this forum. on the left side click on DVD Writer, go to your burner and see what's listed for media. and read.

Buy the RITEK 2.4 DVD+R packs from www.rima.com . I had errors on all other brands (never tried TY). Zero coasters or errors on the 600 RITEK's I used, they are down to $56. for a hundred.
