  1. I have a dual format NEC-2500A and I have been trying to find discs that work with my burner. I recently ordered on a online store and it had a compability chart and my burner was listed. Got the discs dvd- yesterday
and under my computer by the burner's drive it said the disc is full. I open it and there was a file on it and it wouldn't let me delete it. I thought with dvd- you could erase it. The same thing happend when I bought a small pack of memorex dvd- at walmart. Why do these discs have a file on it when it is supposed to be blank and how do I erase it? The brand I ordered online is matrix dvd- Thanks.

The cd burner part of the burner works fine. I haven't been able to use the burner yet. I am new at this and any help would be appreciated. It is an external dual format burner.

  6. You can burn DVD-R or DVD-RW. But you can only erase DVD-RW (or DVD+RW). What exactly is the problem, it sounds like you ordered media that already have data written to it???

Several people have been able to use the ND2510A with lots of different media, so tell us what media you've got (brand, speed, type) and what you are trying to do and what went wrong.

  7. I can't burn dvds from dvd to dvd I have to use my burner to make data dvds drag and drop files. That was how I saw it already had a file on it and the brand is a matrix dvd-R. And I have also tried a memorex dvd-R and it to had a file on it. And all I did was open it up under the drive in my computer.

You should try upgrading your drive to version 1.07 Look for the details in here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1740

The best firmware to date is the hacked 1.07 with Bitsetting support. This version is amazing. Take a look at it over here: http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=25706

  10. It had a read only file I think it was. I thought it was strange that a blank dvd would have a file on it. And it was only one file but it was big enough for it to fill up the whole dvd. I'll try upgrading the firmware to. Thanks so much.

its simple m8 you've bought dvd-r discs which are write once and cannot be erased or rewritten, you should have bought dvd-rw discs if you wanted the ability to rewrite over time and time again
