  1. I load the avi into TMPGenc, everything's fine but the audio is way too large. So I checked the forums, and found a solution: Open VirtualDubMod and a warning will appear about VBR audio. So what I did was, I saved the WAV and then opened it up in TMPGenc with the avi
    Video: The Avi
Audio: The WAV that I saved from the AVI.
    Everythings fine... yay....... but

When I use Source Range to cut out the begining of the movie*, the encodin is great, everything's solved. But when I watch the movie file, the audio and video are TOTALLY not syncronized. The audio is sort of 12 seconds later than the video... When I don't use Source Range, everything's fine. But I don't want to burn 2 episodes on a CD. It's not worth it.

*(Cuz I want to remove the intros of the episodes I'm burning on a CD-r, SVCD, to be able to fit 3 episodes on a singel CD)

So I've been trying to fix this for the past week and now I give up.... help anyone?

    ------------------------------------------------
By the way, these are the things I tried:
    1. I tried saving the movie without changing it (Direct Stream Copy) after fixing the VBR problem with VirtualDubMod. This time, when I play it, after around 10 seconds the video goes much faster, so the audio is no longer syncronized.

    2. I tried cutting out the intro, direct stream copy saving the video WITHOUT fixing the VBR in VirtualDubMod. Then saving the WAV and loading them both up in TMPGEnc. The AVI I saved works perfectly this time (and without the intro!), but the audio frezzes for a second from time to time and it's no longer syncronized.............

    3. As a last resort, I opened up the avi in Windows Movie Maker, and saving it as wmv. This time, the avi's quality becomes worse and it takes over an hour to do this (and I have more than 5 episodes with this problem...........:O

I really have no other ideas....

How did this troublesome AVI come to be?

Encode the whole thing, without using source range, then edit the Mpegs using Mpeg tools in TMPGEnc.
