Well I've searched through this site extensively but couldn't find an answer. Most of the posts were about decoding DTS from audio DVD's.
I have several DTS CD's that I would like to decode to a regular wav file. I don't want to just separate them into 6 encoded files, but 2 or 6 decoded files that can be played like a regular audio file. Does anyone have any ideas?

How about the direct route;
AC3 Filter
http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/download/ac3filter_1_01a_rc5.exe
and,
GraphEdit
http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/graphedit.html
Default settings for AC3Filter should be 2-channels.
You might also find the AC3/DTS XForm filter useful for the conversion.

I've used the Nero Digital Audio Decoder to decode here but AC3Filter works just fine.

Thanks for the reply but none of these will really do what I want.
AC3 filter doesn't do DTS
Nero doesn't decode DTS
AC3/DTS XForm filter apparently will playback a DTS track but I would have to use a recording program at the same time thus running the sound through my soundcard. i was hoping for something that would directly rip to a file so as not to introduce any noise created by the soundcard. -

Yeah, I saw that in the AC3 setup but nowhere in the help file does it say anything about decoding DTS. Nor am I quite sure how to use this program once it's installed.
Graph edit looks intersting, I'll play around with that tonight. -
First learn the basics of GraphEdit.
Here's where i started (goes step by step)

Once you get an idea of whats happening in GraphEdit, you should be able to do variations of the same. -
Excellent. Graph Edit did look a little intimidating, thanks for the link, and thanks for your help.
