I can't find a damn thing about it on the web!! NOTHING! i am the first person out there to get one?
Just picked it up from Walmart in Canada for $89..
player is great, has dolby digital/DTS, progressive scanning, VCD, SVCD, MP3..

Only problem is that it sets subtitles ON by default.. how @&#!'n stupid is that.. I can disable them on all the movies i have except The Mummy Returns.. so i am hoping this doesnt happen on many more new movies.

Anyone else get this player? same subtitle problems?

I'll see if i can't get a digi cam and take a pic.. maybe it will end up being the same player as someone has but with this different AudioLogic name to it.

  2. Hi,
Just got a couple of these myself on clearance for $50 canadian each, I also can't find much out about them. I've been able to make them region free using a suggested hack for Audiologic-101 but have not been able to defeat macro yet, wonder if there is a way?

You are right there is no info on the internet about this DVD player.
I bought my audio logic ADV802PS a few days ago. I too have a problem with the subtitles always on by default. Where did you buy yours for $50.00 CDN? I payed $89 for mine. Does it play SVCD and VCD? I found nothing in the book about those formats.

  4. Hi There

DrizztXII - did you ever take those pictures of your machine?Preferably internally too.

Also could someone provide me with the firmware version listed under Others (normally)

If so could you fire them over to the webmaster---@---adl528.com (remove the dashes).

Have a look around that site - kotron dvd-101 and cyberhome 528 specifically - do not try to upgrade your firmwares using any supplied on this site. You'll kill your machine.

Is it still possible to get hold of these machines and if so do you know if they will export to the UK?

    Thanks

  5. Hi

Forgot to say to get rid of the subtitles change the subtitle language under the players setup menu to a Language that isn't likely to occur i.e. Language Zulu.

Not sure if the ADV802PS manual lists the codes for Languages if not let me know I'll get back to you.

Perhaps someone can send me a copy of the manual too.

    Regards

  9. Hi

I look forward to any details, you are able to provide.Would I be correct in assuming this is a standalone player,i.e. not a TV/DVD combo.Information on the Internet regarding this unit is literally non-existant.

    Thanks again for you help
