    Hey all.

I just purchased a external dvd burner for my laptop. It is a MadDog usb 2.0 version. I do know that its a rebatch of the NEC ND-2510A 8x burner.

WHat I am trying to do is back up one of my Asian R3 dvds to a dvdR. But for some off reason, I guess it will not burn a R3 dvd maybe b/c my burner is not regionless or region free.

By anychance is there any thing I can do so that I can start backing up my R3 dvd movies? Software to download or anythng? Thanks all 4 your help(S).

I have the internal NEC ND-2510A 8x burner. I use AnyDVD to make my
    burner region free. Works great.

Use REGION KILLER which is a free software to use. Here is the download for it: http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/dvdrk.html

Use Mirror 3 to download REGION KILLER.
The DVD external burner you have needs to be REGION FREE in order for you to back up your region 3 dvds. Here's the firmware index website where you can download the region free firmware for your rebadged NEC drive that is created by the DANGEROUS BROTHERS.

    Rock on!!!

    Thanks all.

BTw, this was weird. but when I put in my original R3 dvd into my laptop dvd player (not my external burner) and then run Shrink it did its job.

But on the 2nd R3 dvd, it would not do it or a menu screen came up saying I can change the region only 4 times and it would be locked or something like that. lol.

    Oh well.

But I will try these 2 softwares. Thanks guys!!
