Hi All,
I have captured from VHS to DVDMPEG in PAL format. Now down the bottom of the video there is small flickers (just along the bottom of the screen, though i have seen thison other captured movies). Is there a way to trim this down to remove the flickers or to letterbox the video
Any help appreciated
Thanks

What program are you using? Are you planning to burn these to DVD to watch on a television or on a computer?
I use Premiere Pro for my video editing. There is a "crop" transformation that allows you to specify how much to crop each side of the footage.
Another method is to increase the size of the video a bit. Up to, maybe, 105%. That will allow you to fill the entire screen but get rid of the "junky" edges (I get them on all four side when I digitize from VHS).
When I'm working on a VHS to DVD project that will mainly be watched on a television, I don't worry about the edges too much. They don't display on the television anyway because they're outside the "safe" zones.
