I've got this when attempting to do any video editing. It locks up my computer and I usually have to reboot. I have check for virus with Norton, no virus. Checked Adware with Adware and Search and Destroy. Nothing. And my Windows Upsates are current. Does anyone know why thias is happening. I heard that Microsoft will be releasing an upgrade for XP next month, is this a common problem? My computer; 2.4 Pent 4, 1024 DDR ram, 200 gig and 80 gig 7200 rpm hard drives. Nvidea 64 mmg graphics card-This shoud be able to handle the tasks I have been attempting to do!

  3. Yep, I looked all over and either I have been informed that My enabling Cache might be the problem (but the drive I'm saving on is a 200 g WD harddrive that doesn't give me the option to uncheck the enabling cache), to checking my bios, but why would my bios have changed?

What could be happening is bad ram,bad power supply, bad sectors on the hdd, faulty hdd, video card over heating, cpu overheating, motherboard going faulty, windows os going south, you will have to do some testing to see where the problem is,turning off the cache isnt going to help in the long run.you will still have the problem.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
