currently using Mydvd, which probably isnt best out since i dont see anyone else mentioning it. but i used a 200mb file to burn on dvd. It ended up at 1.7 gig total which means 1.5 gig is just for the menu and button.

Is that the case w/ most or all software, takes up over one gb just for menu and one button.

What was the 200mb file ? If it was a DVD compliant video file with AC-3 audio, then this would seem excessive. If it was a 200mb Divx file, then MyDVD has to encode it as DVD compliant video and audio (and probably LPCM audio at that), which would take up a lot more space.

yes it was an xvid avi. so if i encode it to dvd compliant 720x480 in tmpgec, then will it be less space?
