  1. This site is great and I've used it to learn the basics and create DVD movies.

However I've run across a problem that I haven't found specific info on.

I created DVDs using TMPGEnc to encode the video and DVD-lab to author and burn to my DVD+R that came with my July 2004 Dell Dimension 4600.

The audio used in DVD-lab was in WAV format as 48 kHz, 16-bit PCM.

    The problem:
DVDs work great on every player tried so far (many brands and models tried) except for some Panasonic stand alone players (RV32 and S25 are a couple). The video plays but the audio cuts in and out and contains lots of static on these Panasonic players.

Any advice on different settings or things to try?

  2. Try to see if that dvd player has any dinamic renge control option and turn it off see if it has any PCM downsampling and play with it. I had trouble with this on my toshiba but it usually was with ac3 audio not with wav but give it a try.
