  1. I hope someone can direct me to the right site to find out how to fix this. Was using Sefy's tips and brought my file into VirtualDub to save the audio as a wav file but this error message came up:

"VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 24742 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate: 97.1 +or - 11.7 kbps)."

Do I need to change any settings in Virtual Dub or TMPGEnc or anything? In other words, what do I do with the above error message?

    Thank you for any help!

    Search Comp PM
In virtualdub, on the audio tab, select full processing mode.

Under audio, select the compression, then you will have a choice of compression methods.

Select no compression. Then go back to the audio tab, select conversion.

If the file sampling rate is already 44,100hz, do nothing.
If the sampling rate is not 44,100hz, then select 44,100hz

On channels, make sure it is set on stereo
    On precision, select 16bit
Then go back to the file tab and select save as wav, and give it a name, and select where you want to save it, then save away.

    You should be all set.
