    Hi
I am converting a avi to svcd and every time i do it crashes on the very last frame at 99 percent and its really annoying after all that encoding time, i am using the latest release of tmpg, anyone know whats going on?

  2. I don't know everything but when the avi was encoded was it ended on a key frame? If not that might be the problem

  3. Have you tried to convert the audio track into a separate wav file, then use that file as your audio source? I had a similar problem and that worked for me.

  4. Don't worry.

the mpeg file you have created is still good and will burn as a VCD with no problems.

    Grativity,

Everything is ok. Just do this. Since you said that EVERY time... ...99%, then whey don't you just (while in Virtualdub) clip the end of the avi off, OR, in tmpgenc, go to source and go a few frames before the end and click the end button.
Once this is done (in either app VD/TMPG) tmpgenc should close the svcd project down without a hitch.

    K?
