  1. i see a lot of info on burning to dvd's. what I don't see or can't find is how to burn a divx movie from my computer to a cd (not dvd) that will play on a standard dvd player.

  2. You need a dvd player that is capable of playing xvid's or divx's. Some that come to mind.

    Kiss players - www.kiss-technology.com (have heard good things)
    Pionner - This one http://www.avland.co.uk/pioneer/dv575/dv575.htm - excellent player just bought one for the bedroom as have many of my friends.
    Also I believe Liteon do a range in them also.

  3. Hardcore Russ' info is good.

    Also, if you want, you could convert the XVID/DIVX file to VCD or SVCD, but like was posted previously, you're player, or a player you will be buying must support those formats.
