I am not the best of writer, so I'll try and make this as understandable as possible. :P As of late I have been backing up some of my copy righted material so I do not have to worry about my nutty CD-ROM wrecking my software (hopefully once I contact HP this problem will be solved.) As for now I have been using Alcohol 120% 1.9.2.1705 to back up my software to .mds and then I use Dameon Tools to play them using a virtual drive. Heres where I hope you guys can come in.My Alcohol 120% trial is about to run out, and I noticed there is a new version of CloneCD out, don't these programs do pretty much the same thing? If so, which of these programs do you prefer, I want to try and get the best out of my money.
On another note, if I can backup my copyrighted material so it plays on a virtual drive, wouldnt that mean that I could successfully back my software up on to other CDs? Thanks for all the help guys and gals.

If u can play the file in Image drive, it may not necessery work when u burn it. What u need 2 do is burn it at lowest possible speed, choose right protection settings if its game, or if its something else like a Audio CD its easy, and if its a DVD i suggest other programs 2 use.
Alcohol is more diverse than Clone CD. I dunno what media u wann 2 backup, so i can't recommend what u should choose. Just downlaod the full version from Kazza, Direct Connect, or Bittorent, for free.

The only 2 programs u need 2 backup all PC games are:
Blindwrite 5 And Blindwrite Tweaker
Alcohol 120%

After some looking don't Blindwrite and Alcohol do pretty much the same thing? I'm guessing the point in having Blindwrite would be for more versitility?
