    I have renamed some VOB files to Mpeg. I want to edit them in Pinnacle studio 9. The program opens the mpeg files fine and everything is visible.

    When I try to play some segements the timer is running but I have nothing on the screen. Any idea's what could be wrong.

    The DVDR I would like to edit is AC3 sound. Could that be the problem?

    I have never tried that but I've always read that you must always extract the MPEG's from the VOB's or you may encounter some "oddities"

    Thanks, I have tried it and I can make the Mpeg files. I can play them in windows mediaplayer or Power DVD.

    Pinnacle opens them but it does not play them so the editting is impossible.

    What could be the problem?
