im about to purchase the nec dual layer burner, but i was wondering if the +dl media will be compatable with my xbox for playing backups of my movies. or any other dvd player, thanks

The answer is most likely not. compatability w/ dl media is bad and they are way too expensive $13 a disc approx

if you already have a dvd burner.. hold off a bit until the technology gets a bit better as do the blanks.

blanks are expensive and they don't work in everything, i'd hold off a little while until it catches on more.. that way too you won't end up with a really low DL burner.

btw. if you don't have a burner at the moment, they it probably wouldn't hurt to get one with the DL feature as I think the prices aren't much more.
