  1. Hello,
I´ve tried a couple of times to convert MPG-files to .MPA and .M2V using TMPGENC and then author the files using IfoEdit. But when I play the DVD in my DVD-player the picture is moved to the left so only parts of the movie is shown on the screen. Does anybody know why the video is off centre? Have I missed any setups?

what resolution did you encode to?

are you sure your original .mpg files are DVD compliant anyway?

  6. The movie is divided into two mpg files. Avicodec says:
    File : 794 MB (1.1 GB), duration: 0:55:24, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 80 %
    Video : 951 MB, 2400 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 480*576 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported
    Audio : 88 MB, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

So I combined them using Merge & Cut in Tmpgenc. Then I use Simple De-multiplex to get the mpa and m2v files which I run through IfoEdit to get the VOB, IFO and BUP files to burn to my DVD.

480x576 is SVCD and it is not dvd compliant. if you just author it as a dvd you get a "dvd-svcd" and they doesn't work perfect on all dvd players. if you want a working dvd you must reconvert to dvd.
