  1. Hello to everyone,

I have an AVI file which i wanted to put into a DVD to watch in my DVDplayer. I did this using nero, since it converts for you and burns it. Nero Suite 6 is what i think im using. The problem comes that it does a nice job, but the sound and the video are of sync by about 15 seconds. This is not nice and it does get very annoying.

What i did next was convert the AVI to MPG format for DVD. I used Cinema Craft Encoder and it did the job fine and it look fine, nothing was wrong with it. However i need it to actually burn it onto a DVD to play on the DVD player. So i got this program called Xilisoft MPEG to DVD converter to do the job. What actually come out was a black and white video that skip frames every single time. The reason i did not burn the MPG with nero is because it gives me an error before it even begins to do anything. My questions are the following and any input is appreciated,

    1. Is there a way to fix the off sync in Nero? Burning it faster or slower helps?
    2. Is the program that converts AVI to DVD (Cinema) good? or is there something better?
    3. How can i fix the error that nero gives when i try to burn the mpg file onto the DVD?
    4. Is there another way of doing this? an easier way? a harder way that actually works?
    5. I did see a sticky talking about AVI out off sync but will that work for me? because Im using MPG?

Any input as state above is appreciate, if anyone would like me to clarify something please do tell me and i will post back.

    Thank you in advance.

xilisoft and nero = crap when it comes to video.

Cinema is very good but then use a good dvd authoring software to make the dvd from the mpg like Tmpgenc DVD Author, DVD-lab, guifordvdauthor.

Easiest: Use an all-in-one tool like convertxtodvd, dvd flick, favc but they are not as good(video quality) as cinema craft encoder.

FAVC with HCEnc is pretty damn close to CCE in quality (although not speed) and arguably better for low bitrate encoding.
