    I have a movie in avi format and converted it with DVD2SVD to DVD format. Playing the DVD movie on the PC gives colour, but playing it on the DVD player at my TV gives a black and white output.
    Anybody a suggestion what I do wrong ?

    Your original is probably not the same standard of your TV/DVD player (PAL vs NTSC).
    Your DVD player might be able to convert on the fly, otherwise you'll have to start over and do the conversion with software.

    choose PAL in your DVD player
    then choose NTSC
    see which one will work
    hacking the Net using typewriter :D
