  1. I imported all my scenes in Pinnacle and now that i want to finish the movie and add menu's, i find out that the SE verson only allows 1 menu. Sjeez. What are my options?
Only thing i can think of is let Pinnacle generate the dvd (write to disk) and then use DVD Author to author the movie.
Off course using DVD Author may mean that i will have a lot more work creating the menus but at least i'll have more than 1.

    Any other options?

  2. SE is the OEM version that you can get for about 5 Euros, so the restrictions are realy not that bad for this (1 menu, no motion menus, no art effects).
(I've seen that several guys in the US try to sell this at ebay for almost 50$ and tell you only in the fineprint that it's OEM, CD only. What a fraud.)
I don't use S9 for the DVD authoring anyway. Other than the extra time for saving the project, TMPGEnc DVD author in my opinion is mich faster and easier to use, and it's utterly reliable, while authoring is exactly the point where Pinnacle still might have some problems, according to posts in the newsgroups.
So if it's only for the authoring, I'd think twice if to spend the money for the upgrade.

    Cheers

  3. Check the adds, every other week somebody is selling the full version of studio 9 for $40. It by far has the most flexible menu creation setup compared to others in its price range. At when studio 9 does work, it works well, its all the other times in between that is frustrating.
