  1. I'm experimenting with different settings and bitrates for VCDs wich should play on my Pioneer 717. I have tried some possible combinations of resolutions and bitrates for mpeg1 and mpeg2 and different muxing methods but I still haven't found the best setting for this player.
What are your experiences with this? What is the highest bitrate the 717 can play?

    Hi

I'm also a happy owner of a Pioneer 717 and I too have done some tests on my player regarding resolution and bitrates and I've come up with the boring fact that it doesn't accept anything out of the ordinary at all. What irritates me most is that it doesn't play SVCD but cheaper Pioneer models DOES.

Anyway, when it comes to DVD and standard VCD it's a wonderful player
