    Hello,
The easiest these days would be to get a set top dvd recorder and dub to dvd (just like old vcrs but with some editing ability). Personally, I use the Hauppauge wintv pvr250 mpeg encoder card (for the pc) and I like the results I get. It's very subjective but just do some spec research at the stores. You'll learn a lot looking up the different products for pc cards and set top units. Good luck.

  3. Hi,

A economical way to convert analog videos into DVD format by using a PC will require a analog video capture unit, which can be internal PCI card version or a usb unit for external use. A company that I had dealt with before carrys some nice gears for doing the video conversion, http://www.acevio.com/webstore/nfoscomm/catalog/index.php?cPath=22&osCsid=ed2c1216b314...e1e997bf5d3a7b

    Hope it helps you !

@scarrygsxr: Since you are on UK, you are PAL.
Only the very latest and expencive ATI cards are good for us, the PAL users. The older models don't have great driver PAL support and the issues are countless with them. You can check the comments of the users regarding this issue, at the card list we have here at vcdhelp.
So keep in mind that (only buy the latest ATI cards for PAL users).

Beyond that, I suggest those canopus cards. They have excellent (but expencive) products for both PAL / NTSC users (based on the reports we have here).

Why you don't read about the solutions you have here? https://www.videohelp.com/capturecards
