    is there a significant difference between using normal vs high quality motion search precion in TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 when encoding...

    i got 100+ mpeg,avi,wmv movies in my computer (all porn ), and i need to convert them to vcd format so my friend will be able to view them all on his vcd player until his eyes turn red and pop out...

    i got pentium IV 2gig pc and another 1.7 gig pc...im not planning to use any other filter like noise reduction since my sources are dvd like quality or though i need to use filters?

    help me on this guys, i need to impress my friend on the quality of my output...

  2. I've used the normal, high and highest quality settings... I can't tell any difference between high and highest. I also set DC Component Precision to 10 bits. Filters can slow things way down...

    you really didn't have to add that

    I always just encode at the highest quality, because time isn't usually a facotr for me. If you really want to impress your friend(if thats actually who they are for) then you should encode at the high quality setting.
