  1. Hi, I'm new to this forum and I am having major problems and unable to find any answers so far...I just found this site so I thought I would see if anyone here has seen this...

Using Nero v6.3.1.15 and Pansonic (Matshita) DVD-RAM/R model LF-D321 (aka LF-D310, LF-D311). When insert DVD-R (1x) disc (tried 2 diff brands) Nero kicks it back out saying "There is not enough space to burn this compilation onto this disc". I've tried compilation sizes of 1GB, 3.5GB, 3.8GB...nothing.

Disc Info says that the disc is a DVD-R but says 0GB available and 0GB total space. Nero detects the drive as a Matshita DVD-RAM LF-D310.

I've upgraded the drive firmware to the latest I could find, vA128 dated 11/26/2002, and also had tried A127 prior to that.

Anyone else have this problem??? Thanks.
Ahead's (Nero mfr) tech support so far has been no help.

Thanks in advance for any help.
    ...desparate...

  2. You might try one of the Ulead products, they have 30 day trial versions that allow you to author and burn complete DVD's.

Sounds like bad media. The Panasonic LF-D3XX series are picky in which media they like. Try a 5-pack of the good stuff from Walmart for ten bucks and see if it works. My LF-D311 loves Maxell branded DVD-R. Give that a try and see if it helps.
