I just started creating VCDs recently and I've ran into a problem. When I try to play a VCD in my Apex 600a, it plays for about 5 seconds and then stops. If I fast foward a few seconds past that point, it plays fine. I thought it was my player, but I tried a disc in a friend's player and it worked fine. I created the VCDs with Nero. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Can't seem to find anyone that has had the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. It might be a tempremental player or the disc. I have a commercial VCD of 12 Monkeys that locks up 2 minutes in on every player I ever tried it on....except 1...it plays just fine on my p133 laptop...go figure.

It doesn't really lock up, it just goes back to the main DVD menu screen...it lasts exactly the same amount of time, about 5 seconds, on every disc.

  5. Do you have menus on your VCDs? That may be a problem. Otherwise I would say you have player issues. Hope it is still under warranty.

No menus, just burnt the VCD and played it....I bought the player in Sept. 2000 from Circuit City....doubt its under warranty.

  7. Is PBC turned off or on. I have heard that it must be off on some players. Just a thought. Hope it helps.
