Hello im ripping Vcd from dvd via:
Smartripper
DvD2Avi
Tmgenc
The picture is fine but i have a little sound problem.
I tryed some things and they are:
I tried ng to demux the audio straight from the dvd to a .ac3 file and using that as a audio source in TMG but then it will be 48KHZ(hizzing sound) and very silent sound (have to turn the volume very loud to hear anything at all)
I Tried to use the built in .wav outputter in dvd2avi that is ok but it takes forever to make the project
i Tried Using vob2audio and then it was 48KHz.
But then i saw this at a nfo
"Audio: dvd2avi -> HQ 48->44.1 resample -> toolame j-stereo " i understand all of this accept where do i put the "toolame.exe" in this all. I could not find any options in dvd2avi.
I understand that making a seperat .mp2 file is the best audio quality but what is the fastest and most effective way in getting decent sound?
THANX if you can help me make up my mind.

u can put tooLame as a external encoder for TMPGEnc to do this: optiom->enviormental settings->external encoder and click layer 2 and search for tooLame.exe
but i suggest to encode the audio seperitly..by doing this u wont have anther temporal wave file which TMPGEnc makes and it wont crash(this sometimes happen with TMPGEnc when tooLame is the external encoder)....if u want an easy way to encode the audio with tooLAME u can donload the gui here:
