dvd shrink question, please help

i had been using dvd shrink for over a month and now am experiencing some weird problems

i used to be able to use re-author, and pick for example, scenes 1-7 of a disc, it would backup, and then it woul dleave the dvd tray open until i put a blank in, at which point it would burn that segment...then i would have to put the original dvd in and go through the process again to finish the movie


now after it gets done 1-7 it just says the backup is complete
i can no longer find a way to burn

anyone have an idea of what i can do?
it does the same thing when i back up without reauthoring, whereas it used to say CHECKINGS FOR DISCS and when i put it in, boom, it would burn, and done

Make sure "Auto Insertion" or "Auto Run" is checked on your drive? (I may not have understood your problem.)

Tip: Buy yourself a DVD reader and use it for ripping instead of your burner's reader. Ripping can take a toll on your burner.

When you click on backup, make sure the target is your hard disk and not your writer. Then burn the disk with Nero.

simply stated:

it used to wait for me to take the original disc out (it would leave the tray open) and put in a blank, before moving on
this way it was original , then insert blank, then insert original, then insert blank to finish second half (when i re-authored)

nero hasn't worke don my comp ever

What do you use to burn with then?

it just burns straight from dvd shrink
after i re-author, it i pick which scenes i want the disc to include, and it goes through a backup...then when it pops the disc out, its asks me to put in a blank and when i put it back in, it goes right to burning to the disc...nothing else ever done

DVD Shrink doesn't burn though, it needs Nero to burn, i'm confused

all i know is that it does what i said above so maybe i have something in my computer that is taking it to this next level, but it no longer is the case...it has ceased to have the tray remain open waiting for me to insert a blank

i downloaded nero and it said it didnt work right, the version i downloaded..i don't know

make it easier for yourself and use a older version of DVD SHRINK like 3.0 BETA 5 and then use NERO to burn. This version of DVD SHRINK doesn't have the built in burning.
