A few weeks ago a friend gave me a movie he burned onto a dvd+r it wouldn't play on my dvd player (my dvd player only plays -r) so I transfered to my computer and then burned it onto a -r, my dvd player still doesn't recognize it. And I know both dvds are good because I can play them on my xbox. Any idea what could be causing this. I believe also that the dvd contains a converted divx.

1. Fire up DVD Decrypter.
2. Insert +R.
3. ISO Read.
4. Insert -R.
5. ISO Write.
If that doesn't work, it's a problem with the way the original +R was written, and the XBox playing it is no indication, because the XBox uses a software player, there is no DVD decoding hardware in the XBox.

You could also try Alcohol 120%, that does a good job in cases like this.
