    Need some help regarding vob editing. Bought a dvd recorder daytek p30. I would like to know how to edit out the comercials and burn it back to a dvd without having to re-encode to mpeg2. I would like to do a vob to vob editing if that is possible. (last sentence explains why) Freeware/shareware is my budget. I have used chopperxp, not very intuitive and File merger. The result was very undiserable. My computer is a P3 800Mhz (a little slow) but it's all i got. -thanks

    If you're doing straight cutting and splicing then TMPGEnc DVD Author will do that, and burn it back to disk. Load the vob's then use the edit function to cut out the ads.

    For more extensive editing you can use Womble Mpeg Video Wizard, then re-author with any authoring package (like TMPGEnc DVD Author).
