  1. Hello there! I have burnt a X-MEN Divx movie into a VCD, using Tpeng and Nero (or EZCD?). The sound is great, and also the motion...but some still images or background ones seem blured (as like the colors were liquid ). I wonder if this happens because of the poor inherent quality of VCDs, or if there are some corrections tips I missing...another question is: Which encoder do the best job, including the expensive ones? Thanks!

  2. Actually I would assume this because you used a DivX source. The VCD bitrate is low (1150kbit/s for video) but it's normally good enough for most live action work.

    To improve quaility you can try a VBR encode, or multipass (for TMPGenc 2pass) VBR encode. If you have a DVD at home try a DVD -> VCD backup/conversion for comparison
