VCD Freezes in DVD Player

Hi everyone. I tried to find the answer to my problem with no luck - I've already done most of the tips I've read about.

Please note that this problem doesn't happen on all my vcds only a few of them.

First I extract audio using VirtualDub, then I encode with TMPGEnc. The problem is that when I play the vcd in my dvd player (which is compatible), after about 45-50 minutes in, everything freezes up, and sometimes I even have turn power on and off to get started again.

Everything plays fine on my pc, so I'm at a loss and have no idea what to do next. I'm using Nero and I usually burn at 4x, although I've tried other speeds but get the same result.

Try some different disks, maybe.

Yes, that was actually one of the first things I did - try other disks, but no such luck. thanx, victoria
