  1. I have compiled the videos using TMPGEnd DVD Author, so now how do I actually burn them to the DVD?

When TMPGEnc DVD Author finishes doing its thing, there will be a box come up with a button that says "Open Write Tool". You can use this or use your favorite burning software.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. Be sure to type a name in Full Caps where it asks for the Label.

You could also make a note of where the files are being created and then close out Tmpgenc DVD Author and burn with Nero.

That's interesting with the disc label - I know Nero capitalises for you regardless of what you put in.

Have you had compatibility issues with lower case disc labels presto ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

I'm pretty sure it gives you a warning if you use non caps. The real reason I posted that reminder was that if you don't put in a label at all TDA proceeds as normal but never finishes. That's a pretty bad bug and perhaps they've fixed it by now. I just got into the habit of ALWAYS putting in the label.

I use TMPGEnc DVD Author a lot.

    What I do is this:

1.) Use TMPGEnc DVD Author to create an ISO IMAGE file
2.) Use DVD Decrypter to burn to a DVD-R

    Works for me!

    P.S.
I have heard that some people have "trouble" i.e., compatability problems on stand alone DVD players then they use the BURNER built-in to TMPGEnc DVD Author. Using my 2 step process I have no such issues. My discs have been played on a wide variety of DVD players without issues. Again I tend to use Taiyo Yuden DVD-R discs which seems to help a lot too in terms of compatability.

I think you left out the Authoring step. You need to take that mpg and use an Authoring program to make a .vob's and other files that a DVD uses.

Right, "nonono"... VCD is mpg1. m2v is an mpeg 2 video stream. You can encode to VCD mpg, then use TMPGEnc DVD Author to author to DVD.
