I recently archived a bunch of VCD formatted MPEGs onto CD-R. Today I decided to reencode some of them for a PDA When I tried to access them, most could not be read by X-Ing MPEG Player (it gave a corrupt file error message), many encoding programs (including TMPGEnc), and many editors (including Virtualdub).
Is there a utility or some other means for "fixing" these corrupted files?
BTW, I cannot use any of the suggestions in the FAQ because no program (that I could find) will allow me to open or import these files.
