    Hi everyone!
I have one m2ts to edit, it has some corruped frames in it, atleast rendering in Vegas stops at a certain frame and the file itself makes Vegas to though really long on certain places. So is there a way to fix it up, clean it up, replace the bad frames with blank ones etc? Audio seems to be ok, audio peaks show up fine, no gaps anywhere, so it seems like all the material is there, but some error in frame chain or something.

    And suggestions?

make subclips before and after the "bad spot". cutting it out is about all you can do. should lose maybe a 1/2 second as it's long gop video.

Ok, but is there a way to easily recognize the "bad spots"? Since its one and half hours and looks like there might be many of them, plus Vegas hangs on those places.

any chance to recapture the source again? otherwise stretching out the timeline and looking for blank missing frames is about it.

I cannot recapture the material, but blanking out frames can be done, the only problem is that Vegas hangs on those places. Is there a soft to do that automatically? Or something which will not hang so I could find those bad frames?

the only thing i've found is to open it in the trimmer, and not put it on the timeline. cut a good piece, put it on the timeline, smart render it to a new name, piece1, piece2, etc., and then re-assemble the pieces on the timeline. thankfully i haven't had much experience having to do this.

Try using Videoredo to cleanup the m2ts file ... I do believe the 15 day version will do that for you.
