    If you check the Ulead website you will find a very simple way of bringing back the dropped frame counter by editing an ini file

    OK, that is valid for VS7, I myself was the first to post that tip here;

    I wonder if in version 8 it's "oficially" back, without any editing, or maybe if that trick is valid for v8 as well;
