    When I try to load two of the VOB files into any program for editing, e.g. PowerProducer2 and PowerDirector it says that it cannot load it, the others work fine, and they all play fine. I want to adjust brightness etc. any ideas?
    Any other programs/methods I could use to change the brightness and contrast on the DVD?

    Virtual Dub mod can load VOBs, which you can save as AVIs, or frameserve to MPEG files to TMPGEnc.
