has anyone figured out a way to have more than one menu for tracks in tmpgenc author? i'm trying to author a dvd with 3 tv episodes and a bunch of little special feature tracks. i'd rather have the special features on their own menu page.
i thought maybe if there is a way to set it up so that after each *chapter* a track returns to the chapter menu, then i could merge the special feature tracks into one track and make the different clips into chapters. but i can't see how to do that either.
    any other suggestions?

Well, that's rather easy. First, author DVD as usual with the chapters playing all the way to the end of the track. Then open the corresponding IFO file in IfoEdit and add LinkTailPGC [20 01 00 00 00 00 00 0D] as a cell command for each chapter.

Unfortunately, step-by-step guide would be huge if you're not familiar with IfoEdit. If you are serious about DVD ripping/authoring, that's one of the most handy and popular freeware programs around. There is a lot of info about it here and at www.doom9.org.

But here's another simpler solution: since you have 3 episodes, create a custom Main menu with 3 thumbnails, and replace the Next Page button with an image saying Special Features. So on the first screen you'd see 3 episode thumbnails, and all other screens would contain special features, one per track.

that makes sense and sounds easy. but that would also mean i'd have the same picture/motion menu for the episodes and the special features, right?

  6. No, it allows to use different background for each menu page.
