    I Have an APEX ad600a dvd player and it is suppose to play burnt vcd's..but when i insert a vcd i just burned it says "please check disc"..whats going on??
    i read here http://www.redrobe.com/dvd/vcd.php that my dvd player would work PERFECTLY on burnt vcd's...Anyone know why the "please check disc" message pops up??did i burn wrong??HELP!!

    First, you could have had recording errors. Maybe low-quality disc.

    Secondly, the version of your drive firmware and apex main board firmware might be out of date.

    The problem might only be the firmware of your DVD drive and not the whole thing. Updating (or changing the DVD drive!) is much easier than the players firmware update.
