I am very green at this burning stuff so bare with me if this is a stupid question. If I choose to ReAuthor in DVD Shrink do the subtitles and different audio modes stay or can they be deselected so the movie is given more room and quality? Also is DVD XCopy the only program that allows you to split a disc to 2 discs so as to not lose any quality at all? Thanx in advance.

if you choose REAUTHOR you will lose the menu function as well as the subtitles because in order to accesss subtitles you need the menu function. the more you deselect the better video quality you'll get. if you want everything intact use BACKUP that will keep everything menus and extras. if you want the subtitles kept you're going to have to use BACKUP. i have region 3 dvds that i need the english subs and have had no choice but to use BACKUP. you can use DVD SHRINK to split into 2 discs. here's a guide:

it's for DVD SHIRNK version 2.3 but you can still use it. the interface is just different.
I use DVD REBUILDER now for most of my dvd collection. It's a free software and it provides better video quality than DVD SHRINK & DVD2ONE.
