I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to set the adjustments on an R200 Epson printer WITHOUT using and wasting printable CDs or DVDs? In other words can you make something that can replace the CD or DVD for test printing and then once you have the settings right then print your actual printable CD or DVD. I just purchased this printer and would like to know if this is possible. I really would appreciate your help. Also any recommended settings you have found to work would be appreciated as well. Thank you very much for your help and advice.

  2. Oh yes.....

If you get your disks on spindles use one of the clear protecter disks at the top or bottom. I put 2 circles onto them using the print cd software one just inside the outside dia nad the other just outside the inside dia. You need to handle carefully as the ink rubs off.. But you can use them over and over.

iooi thank you for the reply. I need a little further explanation if you don't mind. What do you mean when you say "I put 2 circles onto them using the print cd software one just inside the outside dia and the other just outside the inside dia". Do you mean I should cut out a circle and lay it on top of the clear plastic protector disc then print onto the paper? Thank you for clearing this up.

He means print directly onto the plastic, then you can wipe it off and use again until you get it right.

    Yep thats what i do..
Sorry if i wasnt very clear...
ALso i use cd/dvd setting and anything from -2 to +1 find it gives me good enough quality prints on Ritek Go4 -R Printable disks.
The higher the amount of black or dark colour in the label the lower the setting.
