Philips DVD 722 problem with sound

hi all

i have a dvd-player , philips dvd 722
connected to a tv , philips 100 hz , 16:9 ( new tv )
the problem is , if i play a dvd , music and noise sounds very hard
much harder than the people talks
any help avaible ?

I have a 726 model and I know you can change the sound modes in the system menu. There are analog and digital sound options. I think digital can be changed to 'dorm room', 'large theatre', 'living room' etc. So check and see if the 722 firmware has this option and it one of these modes got selected. Other modes can be chosen for music like rock, classical etc. check that too. I'm not sure if your firmware is anything like the 726, but check that out and see if something got accidentally turned on.
