I just got the Sony DVD201 camcorder.
I have a few dvd-rw's filled up and finalized.

There are a few things I am trying to find out how to do.

First of all I want to put multiple 1.4 gig dvd-rw's onto a single 4.7 gig dvd+r.

Second, I want to edit some of the chapters.
Some I want to eliminate completely and some I just want to cut bits and pieces of the footage out.

Also, in order to make some of the scenes available to youger people I need to bleep out some of the audio in a few spots if possible....like they would on tv or whatever.

I apologize if these things are covered elsewhere but this site is huge ....I looked around for awhile but I did'nt really find any answers.

So if someone can help me out or give me a URL where these questions are covered it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!!

Use TMPGEnc DVD Author. Ir can do all the things you described.

  3. TMPGENC DVD Author will do everything BUT the audio piece (from what I remember).. I dont think it can change audio, but you could cut the section out (video and audio).

Well you need a video editing program that can also capture mpg2 video and edit it. I am sure some of the higher end programs can do this with no problem. I hate to be the bearor of bad news but dvd cams are not good if you want to edit the video. Normal camcorders can capture avi video and then all dv editing programs can cut edit all the audio and video you want. The mpg2 video on you dvds can not be captured to your computer by all dv editing programs and can not be edited by all dv editing programs.

Get a DVD recorder and record all your wanted clips/scenes to the DVD+RW or -RW recorder, occasionally pull the RCA audio plugs when needed.
