I was just wondering if there are updates for existing programs, like Studio, or Ulead.
I just purchased a Camcorder, with Firewire and USB 2.0 jacks.
the included software ImageMixer, only captures video in VCD Quality.
I would like to be able to capture via USB 2.0 in DV quality, since i currently don't own a firewire card.
So far every other program I've tried only supports IEEE 1394.
Thank for any advice.

thats because dv avi can ONLY be captured with firewire. usb is not meant for dv capture. the usb port on your camcorder is for transferring still pics only. to transfer dv avi you MUST use firewire. is you have a desktop, you can get a firewire pci card for pretty cheap these days. if you have a laptop, they make pcmcia firewire cards that are also pretty cheap
