  1. I just got a bday gift...not 2 seconds ago. Problem is, its a DVD game. I have no DVD drive. I do however have a USB harddrive. Is it possible for me to bring this to work, use the DVD at work to install it on my USB HD and then play it back home...DAMN...that is if I don't need the DVD to play the game I guess.

If I do need the disc, what are my options?? ANyone!?

Alcohol 120% will allow you to create a virtual DVD on a hard drive. However for the price you may be able to buy a DVD player.
Big Government is Big Business.. just without a product and at twice the price... after all if the opposite of pro is con then wouldn’t the opposite of progress be congress?

  6. CloneDVD2 also has a virtual drive tool... there is freely downloadable ... so you can test first.

  7. You can copy the DVD contents to the USB HD, and install from USB HD at home. Unless it's a game that asks for disc.

I think it's gonna ask for a disc. Which means I should get a DVD anyway. The only problem is getting one that will work with my English OS. I've had some compatibility issues with hardware made in Japan running on an English OS. And when I bring it back and say it ain't working on my English OS, they say its my problem. Then I have to go into angry foreigner mode. I always ask before buying if it will work, they always say they don't know...

Only problem getting the drive to work would be reigion code, but you should be able to set that yourself. And worst case that Any DVD program should take care of ya. Good LiteOn drive shouldn't care about the OS.

  10. here is the best, all-free way to go about it.

step 1) rip dvd to iso with dvd decrypter
step 2) mount iso through daemon tools
    step 3) install/enjoy/masturbate
