    is there a program that transcodes a ac3 audio file to a mp2 mpeg 1 audio layer 2 file? TMPGEnc DVD Author doesn't support ac3 audio format so i need to encode it to mp2.

    It does support ac-3 audio, do you get an error message?

    You may need to fix the ac3 file , Besweet is good for that.
    If you still want to convert to mp2 then there is no easier way than ffmpeggui

    i tried using a ac3 file on TMPGEnc DVD Author for the audio settings and i got no audio just the video part only.

    Reloading the ac3 file ONLY in the audio input line after the m2v file laoded works for me.

    We don't need the TMPG AC3 Plug-in? I believe it is only for encoding into AC3 Stereo.
