If any of you have been to the following website:
www.pcphotovideo.com you can see that Rich has made some really good progress in making the VCDs & SvCDs
I have been trying to get the picture quality to come out as good as his but have been unable to get that done. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know

    Thank you

I have a PIII800 with 512MB of Ram, WindowsXP Pro, WD 40GB 7200 rpm drive, swap file set to 768MB etc. AIW Radeon 32mb DDR with the latest drivers & MMC 7.6

    Spooky,

I checked out the PCVideo web site, but it has not been updated since Nov. 2001. Where have you been getting recent information?

Also, I tried to follow his guide, but it is stuck at page one and won't advance. I assume this was because he is working on the web site,.. but then how did you get the information????
"Technology",...It's what keeps us all moving forward.

I seem to be able to capture Fine.

I Run Virtual Dub 1.4.5 with PICVIDEO MJPEG Codec at 19/20 Setting.

Using YUV2 Color Spacing and 704x480 Custom resolution.

ATI AIW Radeon Driver Version 3276 and MMC 7.1 w/ DVD 4.0

REcording to Western Digital Drives ATA100 7200 RPM NTFS FORMATTED.

    As For Picture Quality.
    It depends on the source
obviously a DSS Satlillite will be clearer than a VHS.
